SHREWSBURY – The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library Board of Directors is looking for a volunteer to serve a two-year term as the group’s annual book sale chair.

In a press release, the Friends said the chair is responsible for planning, managing and implementing activities and processes in the months leading up to the four-day book sale, which will be held from Thursday, Oct. 13 to Sunday, Oct. 16 this year at the library.

The chair is responsible for recruiting volunteers, coordinating event logistics and working with other members of the board and book vendors.

Candidates should have a desire to work with the public and a customer-friendly attitude as well as a flexible schedule. Retail business experience and familiarity with Microsoft applications are also helpful.

Those interested in applying should email a letter of interest to Claire Nagle at [email protected] by Friday, June 17 or see the Shrewsbury Public Library’s website for more details.
