Marlborough – Judith “Judy” Anne Mauchan, 77 of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Judy was born in Chelsea, MA, the daughter of the late William M. and Bernice (Falta) Hurley.
She graduated from Chelsea High School. While in Chelsea she worked as a secretary at the Chelsea City Hall. Married in 1968, moved to Marlborough in 1977 where she and her husband Don raised their family. Judy’s family, especially her 4 grandchildren, were her pure joy. Her times with the “Birthday Bunch” as well as her time with her girlfriends was always something Judy looked forward to. Judy’s many years on the soccer field was something she also truly enjoyed.
Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald “Don” Mauchan of Marlborough, her 2 sons Eric Mauchan and his wife Jennifer of Framingham, Scott Mauchan of Marlborough, her daughter Cori Ketchi and her husband Noel of Marlborough, 4 grandchildren, Tess, Kali, Brycen and Cole as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 3 brothers, William V Hurley and wife Margaret, Paul Hurley, and Ronald Hurley and her sister Bernice “Bunny” Dondero and husband Louis.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. in St. Matthias Church 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough, MA.
Burial will be private at a later date.
