Rebecca M. WohlleibShrewsbury – Rebecca M. “Becky” (Savitt) Wohlleib, 70, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully at her residence with her husband by her side on Friday, March 3, 2023. She was the beloved wife of John C. Wohlleib, who misses her dearly.

Born in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Milton S. and Eileen (Gillen) Savitt, Becky was a graduate of Chelmsford High School class of 1970, and went on to work for The Raytheon Company Power Tube Division for over 25 years.

Becky had the innocence and an exuberance for life of a child, combined with the sophistication of a great lady. She had true beauty of spirit, a terrific sense of humor and was blessed with a beauty for all to behold.

Her favorite activities were many; family gatherings, cats and bunny rabbits, gardening, live theater and piano. She was a legendary shopper, and loved spending weekends on our boat anchored at Crane Beach. Also high on her list of favorites was camping in our trailer, and staying at hotels and inns accompanied with (of course) shopping. She wanted to be certain when returning home, there was more luggage than we left with. Married for 37 years, she and John never had a serious disagreement.

In addition to her husband, Becky is survived by her stepchildren, Lisa Wohlleib of Brookline, and Joseph J. and his wife Lisa Wohlleib of Rutland; grandchildren Greyson and Jackson Hoogaisian and Nicole Ozkan and her husband Dean and Alexander Wohlleib; great granddaughter Asra Ozkan; sister Deborah Winsor and her husband Ronald of Windham, NH; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Becky is predeceased by her brothers Richard and David F. Savitt.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Chiampa Funeral Home, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5-7 P.M. Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, March 10th. at 11:00 am. Interment at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon will follow at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donation in Becky’s honor may be made to charity of your choice would be appreciated.
