Dana A. WordellHudson – Dana Allen Wordell, 61, suddenly passed away on April 8, 2023, at Marlborough Hospital.

Dana was born in Fall River, MA, on October 21, 1961, son of the late Earl B. Wordell, Sr., and Judith (Smith) Wordell of Little Compton, RI.

Dana is survived by his wife, Joan M. (Daniels) Wordell of Hudson, MA; mother of his children, Christina (Boyd) Wordell of Little Compton, RI.; his son David Wordell of Clinton, MA; his stepsons Timothy Dumas and his wife Courtney of Spencer IN, Jason Dumas and his wife Nicole and their son Leonardo of Plaistow NH., and Sterling Reber IV of Hudson, MA.; as well as his siblings Richard Wordell, Lisa (Wordell) Rodrigues and her husband Michael “Mike”, George Wordell and his wife Debbie, Earl B. Wordell, Jr., Brian Wordell and his wife Erin, Theodore “Teddy” Wordell, Earl G. Wordell and his wife Carol, and Donald “Donny” Wordell of Little Compton, RI.and his brother-in-law, John Edmunds of AL. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Dana is predeceased by his son Georgie A. Wordell; his father Earl B. Wordell, Sr; and his sister Ann Edmunds.

Dana worked as a Fresh Manager at BJs. Dana enjoyed volunteering especially for Andrew’s Helpful Hands. Dana also enjoyed spending time with family and friend, fishing, and camping at Chawima Campground, Chaplin CT. Dana truly loved cooking for family, friends, neighbors and large community events.

Dana’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Hudson Fire Department, Hudson Police Department, UMass Memorial Health-Marlborough Hospital, and the staff at the UMass Memorial Medical Center on North Lake Avenue in Worcester.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 15, 2023, from 9am-12pm. A church service will follow immediately at Grace Church, 353 River Road in Hudson.
