Barbara was born in Brighton, MA, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Mary M. (Livingston) Brennan. She was raised in Waltham, MA, attending local schools and was a 1957 graduate of Waltham High School. She moved to Hudson in 1965 raising her 6 children and caring for their home eventually moving to Hubbardston to reside with her daughters. Barbara spent 20 plus years working for UMASS Memorial – Worcester as an insurance claims processor until her retirement.

Barbara had many hobbies and interests throughout her life. As a huge fan of Rod Stewart, she traveled to the Hard Rock Café in Hollywood Florida while in her 80’s to “rock” out to his concert. She listened to him every day dancing and singing throughout the house. She was an avid fan of the Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox, often you would hear her yelling at the TV. It was not hard to know if the team was winning or not. She loved spending time with her family, special times with her sisters, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her extended family whether you were actual family or not.

At the age of 82, she was surprised by a rescue puppy from Aruba which she named Molly. Molly was her faithful companion. She adored that little puppy, a not so little puppy anymore.

Barbara always cherished her summer vacations in June where family and friends would gather making fond memories at a house on the ocean in Plymouth, MA. She will forever be in the hearts of those who loved and knew her.
