Ann C. CoffeyHudson – Ann Coffey, 68, died in her home on Saturday, April 29th, 2023.  She was the widow of Eric Weiner, who died in 2018.

She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, a daughter of the late James P. and Regina (Lawlor) Coffey and was raised in North Brookfield.  She was a graduate of North Brookfield High School Class of 1973 and received an associate degree in history from Clark University. Ann was a dedicated librarian at the Marlborough Public Library for over 20 years.

She was a gifted artist and acoustic guitarist who enjoyed reading, coloring and painting, Harry Potter, and trips to Maine. She was known for her love of hanging prism crystals to create splashes of rainbows in every room. Known to many lovingly as “Saint Ann,” her grace, contagious smile and warm laugh lit up any room. She was a passionate longtime friend of Bill W, and she spent the better part of 20 years lighting up the halls hearts of those who needed her. Ann was known as a second mother to many, could always be counted on for an open door, a roast chicken dinner, and a warm hug. Her favorite color, she would always say, was sparkle.

She leaves her sons, Joseph Winer and James Winer both of Hudson, and William Winer and his fiancé Elaina Benson of Worcester; her daughter Jessica Mulvey and her husband Daniel of Saugus; a brother William Coffey of Worcester;  four sisters, Meems Ellenberg of the Dominican Republic, Jane Huckins of Florida, Martha Shadan of East Sandwich, and Theresa Ruth-Coffey of Forestdale; five beautiful grandchildren, Ava, Rachel, Eric, Amelia and Cameron; and friends as close as family Nicole Walker, Alex Panasevich, and Kerri, Rob and baby Ellie Grenier; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 5th from 4:00PM-8:00PM in Edwards Church Hall 39 Edwards St, Framingham, MA 01701. Food and refreshments will be served.  You are also invited to bring treats, as the Celebration will honor the “Donut Meeting.”
