Theresa M. GravesAuburn – Theresa M. (Moriarty) Graves, 84, of Auburn, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 following a brief illness. Theresa’s husband of 60 years, David H. Graves, predeceased her in 2021.

Theresa leaves her three children, Michael D. Graves of Hubbardston, Deborah A. Fahey of Auburn, and Patricia L. Lyon of Sutton; her six grandchildren, Benjamin and Kevin Lyon, Joseph and Sarah Fahey, and Adam and Madelyn Graves; her three great-grandchildren, Ila Rose Fahey, Cameron Fahey and Lorelai Lyon. Theresa leaves brothers Nicholas C. Moriarty Jr. and Francis M. Moriarty; Theresa was predeceased by her brother Paul J. Moriarty Sr. and baby Mary Loretta Moriarty.

Theresa grew up in Marlborough, Massachusetts, the daughter of Nicholas C Moriarty Sr. and Margaret M. (Sullivan) Moriarty. She graduated from Saint Michaels Academy in Hudson. Theresa graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the Shephard-Gill of Practical Nursing in Boston.

Theresa began her nursing career in the Pediatrics Unit of Worcester Hahnemann Hospital. Theresa left the nursing profession to raise her family, returning to nursing once her family was grown, working for 22 years at Saint Francis Nursing Center before retiring in 2005. Theresa was an avid bingo player and deeply enjoyed deep sea fishing at Cape Cod and trips to Foxwood Casino with her husband Dave.

Burial will be held privately at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
