Leonard R. NovickHudson/Acton – Leonard Novick, 86, of Hudson and Acton, MA passed away at home with his family. He was born in Boston to the late Jacob (Jack) and Frances Novick.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Phyllis (Arnold) Novick. Beloved by his children, Jonathan Novick, and his wife Danielle Walls, and Rachel Novick Hirani, and her husband Amit Hirani. Leonard was a proud grandfather to Sierra Novick and Elizabeth Hirani. Devoted brother to Louise Cooper, wife of the late Dr. Saul Cooper.

Leonard graduated from Newton High School, MIT, and Cornell University. He worked as an electrical engineer for Raytheon and Mitre.

He loved the outdoors and was a hiker, camper, cyclist, and conservationist. Leonard had a lifelong passion for learning and was an avid non-fiction reader and traveler.

He lived in Acton for 40 years where he happily raised his family with humor and kindness.

All are welcome to attend services at the Acton Funeral Home in Acton, MA on Wednesday, June 28 at 12:00PM. Following services, internment will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Acton. Shiva (visiting hours) will be held at the Community Center of The Villages at Quail Run at 10 Strawberry Lane in Hudson following the internment (2 pm).
