Hudson – Steven M. Plante, 38, a lifelong resident of Hudson, MA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
Steve leaves his parents, Robert J. Plante Jr. and Kathleen J. (Johnston) Plante of Hudson, MA; his son Lucas M. Plante of Hudson, MA; his brother, David Plante of Hampton, NH and his nephew Aiden Plante of Westminster, MA. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Sue Plante (Greenfield), Edie & Kevin Chiasson (Hudson), Jackie & Scott MacDonald (Lancaster), Christine & Mike Scanlon (Lancaster), Patricia Branscombe (Berlin) and Mike & Paula Johnston (Florida), and many cousins. In addition, his very close friends Robby and Vanessa Marshall and Dan LeClair, as well as, his many motocross friends.
Steve was born in Worcester, MA and lived in Hudson his whole life. He attended local schools and was a 2002 graduate of Hudson Catholic High School. Following Hudson Catholic, Steve spent a year at Assabet Valley Technical High School as a post grad enrolled in Automotive Technician program. He most recently was employed as an automotive technician with Berlin Auto Service.
Steve had a gift for being able to fix anything and he was often called upon by his friends needing help. He paired his mechanical skills with his love for Motocross which he shared with his son, Lucas. Their schedule was full from spring through fall with Crow Hill in Templeton as their second home. They traveled throughout N.E., NY and the east coast hitting spots in N.C., S.C., Tennessee and Florida. Steve will be truly missed and the memorable moments he shared will always be cherished by those who loved and knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 4 to 7pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A funeral service and celebration of Steven’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the funeral home; followed by a procession to Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA for Committal Services.
