WESTBOROUGH – It was a morning of naaaaaa ….maste.

On July 27, the Westborough Public Library hosted a goat yoga class on the lawn, featuring four Nigerian dwarf goats from Chippen Farm in Bedford.

“It’s fun. They’ll jump on your back,” said Shiloh Doucette, a yoga instructor who often works with goats.

With a little coaxing (and some treats), the goats did jump on the back of most of the 10 participants. Mostly, though, they were content with munching on some fresh grass and wandering about.

“They’re so happy with all the fresh grass,” said Doucette.

During the class, participants petted the goats and took photos.

According to Tracey Graham, the library’s adult services librarian, the yoga class has been offered for the past couple of years.

The library is offering plenty of programs for August, from a poetry workshop for children to storytimes and an Amazing Race event for teens and adults.
