MARLBOROUGH – The Laborious Labor Day Road Race, a 20-year tradition, is set to take place Monday, Sept. 4 at Ghiloni Park in Marlborough.

The event is sponsored by the Highland City Striders and benefits the Hudson Community Food Pantry.

With no entry fee, runners are asked to bring 15 canned goods as a donation for the food pantry.

The race itself gives participants a choice between the “Tough Ten Mile” course and the “Fast Five” route in Marlborough and Hudson. Both events begin at 8 a.m., with the same start and finish line in Ghiloni Park.

Visit the Highland City Striders website (http://www.highlandcitystriders.org) for more information and to register. Race-day registration and food collection begin at 7 a.m. at Ghiloni Park.
