HUDSON – Chief Bryan Johannes and the Hudson Fire Department invite community members to attend Hudson’s annual Rec Fest, hosted by the Hudson Commission/Division of Recreation.

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, from noon to 4 p.m. at Guidotti Field, Riverside Park.

Enjoy a day of family-friendly activities while helping to support local nonprofit organizations.

Activities will include carnival-style games, face painting, inflatables and live entertainment. Live performances will include Worcester area musician Paul Courchaine from 12:30 to 3 p.m. and magician Fran Flynn from 3 to 4 p.m.

In recognition of National Fire Prevention Week, celebrated Sunday, Oct. 8 through 14, the Hudson Fire Department will have a SAFE booth set up for attendees to discuss fire prevention with their local first responders.

Local organizations that will be in attendance include Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, Avidia Bank, First United Methodist Church, Hudson Food Pantry, Hudson High School Boosters Club, Hudson High School Math Team, Hudson Historical Society, Hudson Police Department and Troop 77 Hudson.
