Southborough police find dead man on Valley Road

Update: The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office has identified the man.

SOUTHBOROUGH – State Police detectives are investigating the death of a man found near his vehicle in the rear of a Valley Road property.

According to the Southborough Police Department, shortly before noon on Monday, Oct. 16, officers went to Valley Road on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Valley Road. Officers located the vehicle, which was found to be registered to a missing person that was the subject of a recent Silver Alert out of Warren.

The man’s body was located a short distance away from the vehicle. The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office has identified the man as Gary Lyons, 82, of Warren.

The unattended death is being investigated by State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s office.
