John D. BevansMarlborough – It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of John David Bevans, who peacefully departed this life at the age of 93, in the company of his Niece Patricia and beloved friend Bernie Novitch, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the comfort of his home.

John was pre-deceased by his wife Marilyn (Pistoresi). He is survived and dearly loved by nieces Pat Collins wife of the late Richard Collins, Deb Grady (Martin), and Barbara Cole (Dennis), as well as grand nieces and nephews Joe Collins (Carla), Scott Collins (Jenn), Matt Collins, Shannon Cole, Erin Cole, Daniel Cole, Nicole Dillon, and Meg Dimino (Chuck), and sister-in-law Rosemary (Roche) Bevans, as well as well as several great nieces and nephews, and every life he touched.

A proud Navy veteran, John was known for his acts of kindness and boundless generosity. His life epitomized dedication, not only in his service to the nation but also in the warmth he shared with everyone he encountered.

John David Bevans will be remembered as a beacon of kindness, a veteran who served with honor, a true gentleman, and a beloved family member. May his legacy continue to inspire kindness and compassion in all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate John’s remarkable life is scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.  Interment with Military Funeral Honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 133 Wilson Street, Marlborough.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to a charity of your choice, embodying John’s spirit of selflessness.
