Plans for Richer Elementary

The School Committee voted to send along a request to the City Council for $2 million toward a feasibility study for Richer Elementary School.

The study will help determine when the proposed school project would be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority.

Richer, which was built in 1965, has been overcrowded for several years. It currently serves students in grades K-5, and it has an enrollment of 585 as of October.
