Marlborough – Judy Duncan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 4, 2023, in Marlborough, MA. She was born on November 24, 1939, in Mattapan, MA, to the late Clifton N. Olson and Lillian M. (Hurley) Olson.

Judy cherished spending time with her loved ones and family was very important to her.  She created lasting memories with her grandchildren swimming in her pool, taking them to movies and to the candy store nearby. She prided herself on making the best “Apple Pie” which she passed down the tradition to her children.

Judy is survived by her son Charles J. Duncan Jr., of NH; her daughters Susan (Duncan) Molino of NH, and Cheryl (Duncan) Vellante and her husband Tony of Marlborough, MA; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Judy is predeceased by her husband Charles J. Duncan, Sr. (Charlie), parents Clifton and Lillian Olson, and her daughter Kathleen Duncan of Dedham, MA.

One of Judy’s favorite pastimes was performing with the Singing Seniors. Their music brought her great enjoyment. In addition to music, Judy also had a wide range of hobbies and interests that fulfilled her life. She loved playing bingo with friends and family, and engaging in Friday card games. She was very creative and artistic; her and Charlie worked on various projects, travelling around to numerous craft shows. Moreover, she held fond memories of camping trips to Pine Acres in New Hampshire and Myles Standish State Forest in Carver, MA.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours for Judy will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023, from 1pm-3pm, at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street in Hudson, MA. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Judy’s Life will begin at 3pm at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home.

Inurnment services will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA, at a later date.
