Craig A. BrownWolfeboro, NH – Craig A. Brown passed away on February 8, 2024 at age 79 after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his daughters, Ashley LeClerc and her husband Dan of Alton, NH and Blair Brown and her husband Peter of Swampscott, MA as well as his sister Susan Brown of Marlborough. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Sierra, Rex and Clara LeClerc and Abigail and Isabel Brown as well as many cousins. He is the son of the late Dorothea (Craig) Brown and United States Air Force Major Rudolph H. Brown of Gilford, NH.

Craig was truly one-of-a-kind. He loved collecting magazines, driving late-model Audis, watching sports, blasting rock music and finding the best slice of pizza. His proudest achievement was raising his two daughters, particularly as a single dad through their teenage years. He was known to have a camera ready for both their exciting and mundane moments.

As part of a military family, Craig grew up in Marlborough; Omaha, Nebraska; Mather, California; Savannah, Georgia; and Chicopee, Massachusetts, where he graduated from high school. Following service in the United States Army, Craig got involved with amateur bodybuilding. He spent much of his adult life in Beverly, MA, where he worked at William J. Creed & Son Catering. During his later years, he lived in Gilford and Wolfeboro, NH.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Cassandra L. Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund at Montserrat College of Art, 23 Essex Street, Beverly MA 01915. Cassandra “Casey” Baker, a beloved friend to Ashley and Blair, adored Craig.
