Marlborough – Clara Sousa , 92, formerly of Hudson MA, passed away on March 24th, 2024, at the Marlborough Hospital surrounded by her family.
Clara is survived by her daughter Natasha Geagan and her husband John Geagan of Marlboro MA, her grandchild Shauna Condon and her husband Michael Condon, as well as her great grandchild Kaylee Condon, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late husband Jose Sousa and by her 5 siblings, Antonio, Lurdes, Orlando, Armenio and Natercia.
Clara was born and raised in Pero-Soares, Portugal. She along with her daughter Natasha emigrated to the United States in 1969 residing in Hudson, MA. She was a factory assembly worker in Hudson for many years. She was also a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and a member of Christ King Parish in Hudson.
Clara loved family dinners that included all the traditional Portuguese meals, as well as baking. Some of her favorites which were homemade bread and fried dough. She enjoyed watching Steve Harvey on “Family Feud” while crocheting blankets and table clothes for family and friends. She always looked forward seeing Shauna and Mike and especially Kaylee her great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation hours from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Interment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Hudson.
