Westborough – The Westborough Republican Town Committee (RTC) held a “Meet and Greet” Sunday, Aug. 25 to introduce four Westborough legislative candidates – ?incumbent state representatives Steven Levy, R-Marlborough, ?and Matt Beaton, R-Shrewsbury, candidate for state senator Dean Cavaretta and candidate for state representative Marty Lamb.
Levy is running for re-election to represent the?4th?Middlesex which includes Westborough Precincts 1 and 3, Northborough Precincts 1 and 3, and ten precincts in Marlborough. Beaton is running for re-election to represent Westborough Precincts 4 and 5, and Shrewsbury.
Cavaretta is running for the state senate seat currently held by Jamie Eldridge, D-Acton, ?to represent the Middlesex and Worcester district which includes Southborough, Westborough and several other towns. Lamb is running for state representative in the 8th Middlesex district which includes Southborough, Hopkinton, Holliston, and Precinct 2 in Westborough. That seat is currently held by Carolyn Dykema, D- Holliston.
The Massachusetts State Primary is Thursday, Sept. 6 and the Presidential Election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
