GRAFTON – Grafton’s first marijuana dispensary marked its grand opening on Oct. 29 with a ribbon cutting that was well attended by friends, family, investors, public officials and customers.
MJ’s Market is located at 13 Centennial Drive and offers a wide array of premium cannabis products as noted on its website. The business has “Cannasseurs” on hand to help customers understand and make their purchases.
“It’s nice to see the stores starting to open up,” said State Sen. Michael Moore (D-Millbury) during the ribbon cutting.
Moore presented MJ’s with a pair of celebratory citations. One came from the state Senate while the other came from the state House of Representatives on behalf of State Rep. David Muradian (D-Grafton).
The ribbon cutting was attended by everyone from Grafton Police Chief Normand Crepeau to Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jeannie Hebert.
MJ’s founders and staff lined up for the ribbon cutting itself.
“There’s been a lot of people that have truly come together to make this day happen,” General Manager Mitch Gaffney told the crowd. “I can’t thank all of you enough.”
MJ’s offers a performance space for local artists in addition to on-site cultivation and manufacturing facilities. It plans to offer tours of those spaces in addition to a number of other amenities and offerings.
