Region – An art exhibit, “The Romance of? Nature: Two Visions,“ featuring the works of two local artists, Mary Carolyn Webber and Joyce McJilton Dwyer, will be held at the ?ARTSpace Gallery, ARTSpace – Maynard, 63 Summer St., Maynard, from Nov. 6 to Nov. 29.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 from 5 – 7 p.m. The exhibit hours will be Wednesdays through Saturday from ?11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The show will feature lyrically abstracted printmaking: Asian inspired monotype, mezzotints, woodcuts and collographs by Webber alongside watercolors and drawings by Dwyer.? It is a show of realistic art with a nature inspired theme in prints, watercolors and drawings.
Webber was a longtime member of the Westboro Gallery, and is currently a member of the Monotype Guild of New England, the Newburyport Art Association, the Copley Society (past member), the Audubon Artists at Salmagundi Club in New York City, Cambridge Art and the Art Licensing Group of New Hampshire.
Dwyer is a member of the Concord Art Association and the New Hampshire Plein Air Group.? She teaches watercolor in local community education programs in Acton-Boxboro and Minuteman in Lexington as well as teaching at Acton COA? and the Carlisle Recreation Dept.
