Culinary Underground: School for home cooks offers more classes in new space

"We'se been here just over a year in October," said Lori Leinbach, founder and director of Culinary Underground, of the cooking school's new space in the Brickyard Plaza on Route 9 westbound. "This location allows us to have slightly bigger classes. We keep our classes small, but we can get a dozen people in here for a hands-on class. We can do more birthday parties, more kids" camps during the summer. We'se doing corporate events such as team-building efforts.

Annual Falconi Family Memorial Golf Tourney seeks players, sponsors

Southborough - Local golfers are preparing to hit the green Monday, Sept. 16 for the 22nd annual Falconi Family Memorial Golf Tournament and awards banquet. The tournament, which will take place at Juniper Hill Riverside Golf Course (on the Lakeside Course) in Northborough, is the Southborough Senior Center's largest fundraiser of the year. The tournament will be a Florida-style scramble with golfers participating in a variety of games including longest-drive and closest to the pin competitions. Additionally, there will be hole-in-one prizes. A banquet with raffles and a silent auction will follow. Registration is $125 per golfer.
