Hudson Veterans Services announces information for fall events

Hudson -A Veterans Appreciation Event will be held at Hudson High School on Monday, Nov. 5  at 9 a.m. There will be two guest speakers and gift baskets for the first 30 to sign up. For more information and to sign up please contact Veteran Service Officer Brian Stearns at 978-568-9635.

The Hudson Veterans Day Parade and Ceremonies will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11. The parade will step off from AMVETS, 5 South Street at 10 a.m. If you would like to volunteer to help with the parade or have a group that would like to march in support of our veterans, please call the Veterans Office. Come out and support our local veterans and their families as the town celebrates this time honored tradition.

Discounts at local businesses are a great benefit to qualified Veterans and their families:  Hudson has many such businesses that provide these discounts. Most businesses require that you have a photo ID card issued by the U.S. Department of Defense or Veterans Affair to qualify.

Hudson Veteran Services is the only official US Passport Acceptance Facility in Hudson. Applicants need not be a veteran or Hudson resident to apply. Applications are accepted on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday by appointment only. For a list of requirements please visit www.travel.state.gov or call the Veterans Office.
