Winter parking ban in Hudson begins Nov. 15

Hudson – As per town of Hudson by-laws, there will be no parking on all town streets from Nov. 15 through April 1, 2012, between the hours of 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. All-night parking is prohibited in the municipal parking lots on South Street between the hours of 2 and 7 a.m. except those areas designated and posted as permitting overnight parking until 7 a.m.

Vehicles parked illegally or abandoned on roads are subject to towing at the owner’s expense as well as a $10 fine by the police.

Also, as per general by-law Article VI Section 50.0, in regard to removal of snow from private property: “no person, nor entity, nor any agent, assignee, employee, contractor or servant of any such person or entity shall displace or remove snow or ice from private property so as to cause it to be placed, deposited or dumped upon any portion of the town’s streets, ways, sidewalks or real property. Whoever violates the provisions of the bylaws shall be punished by a fine of $50. Enforcing officer: police.”
