Subhadra Rambhatla, 81

Shrewsbury – Subhadra Rambhatla, of Shrewsbury, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 in UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester. She was 81. She is predeceased by her husband, Krishnamurthy Rambhatla.

She was born Sept. 13, 1931 in Enugumahal, Andrah Pradesh, India, a daughter of the late Subbanna Gannavarapu and Parvatamma Karra. She immigrated to the United States in 2002 to be closer to her children.

She was a fantastic cook and anyone who ever visited her home did not leave hungry. She was also the person to whom family would seek advice. Subhadra also was talented at crotchet.

Subhadra leaves her children, Armen Suri and his wife Rekha of Shrewsbury and Aruna Ganti and her husband C.S. Ganti, of Franklin; her grandchildren, Sailaja Ganti, Srivani Ganti, and Krishna Suri; her brothers, Rajeshwara Rao Gannavarapu and Venkataramana Gannavarapu; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Subhadra's life by gathering Saturday, July 13 in Ellen Rogers Kennedy Chapel at Rural Cemetery & Crematory (www.ruralcemetery.com), 180 Grove St., Worcester, where her Hindu Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 a.m.
