Northborough – Horace “Junior” B. Sinclair Jr., 73, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015 at UMass Memorial – University Campus in Worcester, after a period of declining health.

Junior leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Linda G. (McKinnon), and his loving daughter, Jodi Padgett and her husband Joel of Northborough; siblings Betty Putnam of Grafton, Sam and Carol Sinclair, Janet and Dick Annis, Clara Furbish, Paula and Dick Fiske, all of Northborough, Marilyn Banks of Stoughton, Phyllis Letendre of Marlborough, Ronald and Linda Sinclair of Charlton; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by siblings Irene Sinclair, Nellie Humphrey, Robert Sinclair, Madeline Marshall and Shirley Callahan.

Born in Worcester and raised on Hudson Street in Northborough, he was the son of Horace B. Sinclair and Mabel (McKissick) Sinclair. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He served in Germany.

Years ago, Junior worked at the former Laurence Candle Factory in Northborough. He went on to work as a lead balancer at the former Bay State Abrasives in Westborough for 25 years until his retirement.

Junior loved animals and passed that love to his daughter. He was so proud of her when she fulfilled her dream of becoming a zoo keeper. She had the opportunity to bring home lion cubs at Christmas and together they helped hand raise them.

Junior had always had an interest in history and culture. He was always a friendly face in Northborough and was well liked for his sense of humor and his jokes. He was an avid deer hunter who hunted in the woods of Grafton.

A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
