Obit Leo SlineyNorthborough – Leo M. Sliney, 88, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at Kindred Health Care in Westborough. His wife Anne (Lindstrom) died in 1988.

He leaves behind his son, Robert and wife Dianne Sliney of Boylston; two grandchildren, Jenny Wright and Denise Jones; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Born Provincetown and raised in Framingham, he was the son of Edward and Alice (Morris) Sliney.

Leo worked many years in the stamped metal industry, most recently at the former Carlstrom Metal in Westborough. Upon his retirement, he worked locally as a handyman.

He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S Army Infantry. He was a longtime member of Vincent F. Picard American Legion Post 234 in Northborough.

Leo’s funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Burial with military honors will follow in Howard Street Cemetery of Northborough. There are no calling hours.
