Hudson – Maria P. (Lopes) Camacho-Beaulieu, 95, of Hudson, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Moizes Camacho, who died in 1964, and the late Norman Beaulieu, who died in 1997.

Maria was born in Castelo, Portugal, daughter of the late Frank and Clementina Lopes. She resided in Hudson for most of her life and worked as an inspector for the Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard for many years until her retirement. She also worked for the Thomas Taylor and Son’s Company of Hudson prior to Digital.

Maria had many hobbies, but truly enjoyed crocheting and knitting in her spare time. Her passion was gardening, and she took special pride in the care of her gardens at home. Most of all, she cherished the special times she spent with her family, especially later with her many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her memories will forever be remembered and Avo’s will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Camacho and his wife Margaret of Prince George, Va., James Camacho and his wife Bonnie of Hudson, Marianne Brodrick and her husband James of Lancaster, and Robert Camacho and his wife Lynne of Lancaster. She is also survived by her sister, Irene Cioffi of New York; her 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Hazel Wade and Joseph Lopes, and was predeceased by her grandson, James Camacho.

Her funeral service and celebration of life was held Dec. 7 at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson, followed by burial at Forestvale Cemetery.
