Rita S. Nugent, 94, of Hudson

Hudson – Rita S. (Seymour) Nugent, 94, of Hudson, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at UMass Memorial, Marlborough Hospital.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late John Charles and Columbia (DeFalco) Seymour. She had been the wife of the late John W. Nugent Sr. for 65 years, prior to his death in 2009.

Mrs. Nugent had been employed as an Assistant Engineer at Raytheon Corporation for many years.

She is survived by her sons, John W. Nugent Jr. and his partner Carol Henseik of Hudson and James Nugent and his wife Nancy of Marlborough; her daughter, Jane Neish and her husband John of Pepperell; her brother, Richard Seymour of Holliston; her sister, Phyllis Riley of Vista, Calif.; her grandchildren, Heather Palardy, Scott Neish, Patti Westphal, and Kathleen Butterfield; and five great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late John, Ralph, and Vincent Seymour and Nina Ferrari, Anne Darby and Clara Seymour.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
