Linda M. Siraco, 67, formerly of MarlboroughMarlborough – Linda M. (Peterson) Siraco, 67, formerly of Marlborough, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, forever depriving the world of her delicious chocolate chip cookies and often duplicated, never replicated beef stew.

She was born in Waltham, the daughter of the late George W. and Claire (Flanagan) Peterson Jr., and was a graduate of Marlborough High School, class of 1967. Linda attended UMass-Amherst for three years. She worked as a bookkeeper with Kevin Leip, CPA for 20 years.

Linda enjoyed quilting, and her beautiful quilts will continue to provide us all warmth and comfort. She collected fabric and her “stashes” of material could be found in the most unusual places. Her colorful folders, binder clip system and fondness for totes leaves us all a bit more organized.

Linda loved exploring historic cemeteries and was always ready for a good picnic as long as no one forgot to bring the straws. We will all be reminded of her love for treasure hunting at yard sales as our homes are filled with her many finds. Her coordination and “grace” will be remembered as we continue to share laughs and memories of her expert and spontaneous ability to roll down grassy slopes and fall through attic floors. Linda loved weekend get-aways and sleep overs with her family and spending time at the seashore anytime of the year.

She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren; chasing a tornado or two with Riley and playing silly made-up games with Patience. Many hours were spent in the kitchen with both her grandchildren baking cupcakes and all sorts of sweet treets. An avid reader and music lover, Linda was quick to recommend books, share poetry and could always “name that tune in one note.” Her quick knowledge reflexes enabled her to become a 5time Jeopardy couch champion.

She will be remembered for her quick wit, great sense of humor and her generosity towards others.

She leaves three daughters, Jessica L. Siraco and her husband Tony Silver of West Paris, Maine, Kristen L. Sprague and her husband Andy of Millbury, and Jamie M. Siraco of Portland, Maine; two granddaughters, Riley Sprague of Millbury and Patience Siraco of Portland, Maine; One brother, G.W. “Billy” Peterson III of North Brookfield; three sisters, Karen D. Murphy of Hudson, Cheryle A. Kline of Marlborough, and Maureen Bondi of Shrewsbury; three aunts; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A memorial service celebrating Linda will be held Thursday, May 11, at 6 p.m., at Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough.

All are invited to sign Linda’s online guestbook at www.CollinsFuneral.com.
