Born in Worcester, the son of Cosmo J. “Pinky” and Grace A. (DiLeo) Panarelli, he had lived in Shrewsbury all his life.
Mr. Panarelli owned and operated Deluxe Homes, a modular homes builder. He was also a restaurant owner. He owned several spots, including Scuttlebutts in York Beach, Maine, and Papa Joe's Italian Kitchen, Lakeside Lounge, Penguin Catering and Aram's Lounge, all in Worcester.
He was a member of St. Anne's Church and the Men's Biscegliese Society. He loved all sports, with hockey, baseball, football and lacrosse being his favorites. He also enjoyed fishing, travel, cooking and spending the summers in Wells, Maine, and, most recently, Salisbury Beach. Most of all, his family was his dedication and pride. They gave him the joy and comfort of Love. Family was precious to him.
The family of Mr. Panarelli would like to thank the St Vincent Hospital Critical Care Unit and especially Dr. Robert Black and Nurse Steve Craven for the excellent care and compassion they gave to him in this difficult time.
Funeral services were held March 5 from the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel in Worcester, with a Mass in St. Anne's Church of Shrewsbury and burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Nurse Association, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
