Last call to donate to Northborough's backpack drive

Northborough – There's still time to donate to the Northborough Moms and Tots and Northborough Helping Hands Association Inc.'s Fourth Annual Backpack Drive.

The drive benefits kids in need in the Northborough public schools. Last year, over 100 backpacks filled with grade-appropriate supplies were distributed. This year, the need has increased.
There are two ways to donate:

Monetary donations – Checks can be made payable to Northborough Helping Hands Association Inc., and sent to Northborough Helping Hands Association Inc., Attn: Backpack Drive, PO Box 383, Northborough, MA 01532. This is a recognized 501(c)3 charity and donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.

Last call to donate to Northborough's backpack driveSupplies donation– Suggested items include Crayola crayons, washable markers and colored pencils; pens, pencils, fine point Sharpie pens, Post-it notes, 3″ x 5″ index cards, loose-leaf notebook paper, one- and three-subject binders, one-subject notebooks, highlighters, glue sticks, large erasers, pocket folders, scissors, pencil sharpeners, three-ring pencil pouches and page dividers, scientific calculators, sheet protectors and large black backpacks for high school students.
Items may be dropped off at 43 Ridge Rd, Northborough, in the plastic bin on the front porch. The deadline for all donations is Wednesday, July 27.
