Grecian Festival features cultural traditions
Marlborough – Members of the dance troupe “Greek Pride of Rhode Island” perform for guests Sept. 3, the first day of the three-day annual Grecian Festival held Labor Day weekend on the grounds of Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church. Among the selections on an extensive menu prepared by volunteers were shish kebobs, gyros, Greek salads and stuffed grape leaves, with baklava ice cream sundae for dessert. Guests were also offered tours of the parish hall, which was rebuilt following a fire in 2001. Proceeds from the past years’ festivals have helped its building fund.
