Southborough – “Memories of Growing Up in Southborough” will be presented by Donna McDaniel at the Southborough Senior Center.
Over three dozen longtime Southborough (and Fayville) residents have been interviewed by Donna McDaniel (current Southborough Senior of the Year) for a book to be published by the Southborough Historical Society. Come hear what McDaniel learned about why their families first came to Southborough, about their school days with Miss Neary or at South Union and Peters High, about their jobs after school and in the summer to help out their families, about trips to Marlborough for the movies or to dance or skate at Lyonhurst, along with dances and shows at the Town House and Fayville Village Hall. Guests will have a chance to add their own memories about growing up in Southborough, as well.
A luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by the presentation at 12 p.m. Suggested donation is $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers. To sign up or for more information, call 1-508-229-4452.
