Portuguese Club hosts 72nd feast
Hudson – Marlayna Medeiros and Ariana Tavares, each 4, carry the banner for the children's folk dance group “Grupo Folclorico das Criancas” as they enter the courtyard to perform for guests Sept. 11, the final day of the three-day 72nd annual Feast of Our Lady of Fatima at the Hudson Portuguese Club. That day started with a morning Mass at the club's chapel, followed by a lunch buffet. Outdoor musical and dance entertainment was presented throughout the day and into the evening. The feast continues a tradition celebrated by the town's Portuguese-American community since 1939.
