Westborough – The Westborough High School Department of Athletics has announced the eight 2011 inductees into the Westborough High School Athletic Hall of Fame. These outstanding individuals will be honored at a brunch induction ceremony Saturday, Oct. 15, followed by special recognition at half-time of the Westborough football game.
Those being inducted include Dr. Lynn MacDonald Couturier (1977, field hockey, basketball and track), Frank J. DeSiata (1966, longtime athletics contributor), Jennifer Gorak Finnerty (1990, field hockey, basketball, track, softball and coach of basketball), Glenn Flanigan (1980, football and baseball), Art Kojoyian (1945, football, coach of football, basketball, baseball and teacher), Clark Masters (coach of cross country, track, basketball and baseball coach, and physical education teacher), John Preston Smith (1973, track) and Jay Tortora (1970, football, basketball, Bbseball, track and coach of football, basketball and track).
The public is encouraged to join in recognizing these honorees at the homecoming football game. Game time is 2 p.m. at Mewhiney Field at Westborough High School. 90 West Main St.
