Marlborough – Thomas C. Jones, 50, died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, surrounded by his loving wife and family, after a long illness at Metrowest Hospital.
He leaves his wife, Marilyn (Zagwyn) Jones; one son, Thomas Jones; three step-sons, Mark Grant, Timmy Grant and Wayne Grant; his father, Clyde Jones of Oxford, and mother, Margaret Hicks of Charlton; four brothers, Robert Jones, James Jones, Steven Jones and Chris Jones; one sister, Karen McIntire; two step-brothers, Paul and Doug Alward; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-mom, Beverly Jones, and his step-brother, Alfred Alward.
Mr. Jones was a licensed contractor and did logging for many years. He loved to go camping, walking in the woods with his beloved dog Opal, rafting, socializing, hunting and fishing, and he loved to build and fix things.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, from 12 to 2 p.m., at American Legion Post, 402 West Main St., Northborough.
