Southborough – The Southborough Business Network's INSIDE STORY speaker series will present “10 Lessons Learned from a Successful Entrepreneur,” featuring Tom Prince, Wednesday, Nov.16. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Southborough Library, 25 Main St.
Prince owns two award-winning Southborough-based businesses: Italian restaurant Tomasso Trattoria & Enoteca and Panzano, a gourmet food and wine shop. A former senior executive in the technology industry, he will share insights gleaned during seven years as a successful entrepreneur. Topics will include branding, social media, attracting and retaining good people and navigating a young business in a challenging economy.
In addition to other awards and recognition, Tomasso has been recognized by the Boston Globe with a “Best of the New” award and by Boston Magazine for “Best New Restaurant,” as well as “Best Overall Restaurant.” Panzano has been selected as a runner-up by Boston Magazine for “Best Gourmet Food Shop.”
Prior to starting Tomasso, Prince was a Vice President of Sales at Siebel Systems. A lifelong resident of the MetroWest area, he grew up in Franklin and now resides in Framingham with his wife, Mary. They have two daughters, ages 20 and 22 years old.
The Southborough Business Network (SBN) connects the library with the Southborough business community. The SBN's primary activity is the INSIDE STORY speaker series, a quarterly speaker series that highlights businesses with ties to Southborough. Attendees
should bring their business card to enter a drawing for a door prize, which will be awarded at the end of the evening. Refreshments will be served.
