Southborough officials “survey” their spending optionsSouthborough – Municipal officials often say they are following the wishes of the people, but in reality, sometimes the officials and residents disagree about what those wishes actually are. Recently when Southborough decision-makers decided they wanted to hear how residents wanted their tax money spent, they came up with a plan to mail a survey to each household in town to gather feedback.

Although surveys were sent to every household, the town has received only a handful back so far. Officials are urging those who haven's done so yet to take the 20 minutes or so required to complete the survey and return it as soon as possible. It can be done online but residents do need the access code that is on the paper version. Surveys should be mailed back to the Town House or dropped off in dedicated boxes at the Town House, Southborough Library, Senior Center or transfer station.
