Hudson – Frances M. (Benedetti) Silvestri, 83, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died at her home Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Ernest L. Silvestri, who died in 1998.
The daughter of the late Alfonso and Bella ((Tozzi) Benedetti, she was educated in Hudson and Worcester schools and was employed as a nurse at the former Hudson Hospital and Marlborough Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Silvestri was a communicant and member of the former Christ the King Parish and also St. Michael's Parish. She was a member of the Breakfast Club and Happy Doo Little's club. She especially loved her family and dear friends and all the gatherings they shared.
She leaves a niece, Donna Erlandson and her husband Carl of Hudson; two nephews, Benjamin Benedetti Jr. and his wife Jane of Maine and Michael Benedetti of Hudson; and many loving great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Benjamin J. Benedetti and Francis Benedetti, who died in World War II.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Monday, Feb. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St.
