Shrewsbury – Kelly Jean Conroy and Jacob Michael Bultema were married Aug. 21, 2011, at the historic Smith Barn in Peabody. The bride is the daughter of William and Melanie Conroy, of Shrewsbury. The groom is the son of Michael and Linda Bultema, of Kalamazoo, Mich.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her close friend, Liana Popkin, as maid of honor. The groom's brother, Nate Bultema, was the best man. Ben Smith of Lincoln, England, performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Syracuse University and is currently an art teacher. She's also in graduate school, where she is pursuing a master's degree in jewelry/metal-smithing.
The groom is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a master's degree in education. He is an elementary school teacher in Newton.
The couple resides in West Roxbury.
