Food, toiletries needed for St. Anne's Human ServicesShrewsbury – The Outreach Committee of First Congregational Church (FCC) of Shrewsbury and Boy Scout Troop 114 are working together to assist St. Anne's Human Services now, when demand is high and donations are low. With its food distribution program, St. Anne's is currently serving over 600 Shrewsbury families, totaling over 1,600 individuals.

Along with certain food staples, there is a particular need for hygiene products, paper goods and household detergents. These items are expensive and are not provided by the Food Bank. The list of most-needed items includes dish liquid, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, napkins, flour, sugar, sugar substitute, cooking oils, coffee, boxed crackers, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup and relish.

To make a donation, drop off items at the First Congregational Church office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or in Gifford Hall on Sunday mornings, Tuesday evenings or anytime on the last day of the drive, Saturday, March 24. Troop 114 will collect, transport, sort and shelve donations for St. Anne's to distribute.
