Northborough – It's an Olympics year and Peaslee School is going for the gold.

The Olympics is the theme of this year's school fair, which will be held Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Peaslee School, 31 Maple St., Northborough.

Local businesses will have the opportunity to become sponsors of the fair. In continuing with the Olympics theme, sponsorship levels are Bronze ($25 to $49), Silver ($50 to $74), Gold ($75 to $99), and Decathlon Gold ($100-plus). Any local business that would like to support the fair with a sponsorship or to donate a silent auction item can email the PTO directly at [email protected] or contact Maribeth Grandpre at [email protected]. The form can also be found on Peaslee's website at http://teacherweb.com/MA/PeasleeElementary/PTO/2012-Kids-Fair-Auction-Letter-WALK-IN-FORM.pdf

Crafts, such as making Olympic torches and scratch art medals, will be featured, as well as other popular arts and crafts. Many games, such as a candy toss, relay, an inflatable obstacle course, basketball, speed pitch, archery and the famous cakewalk will be included in the day's events.

Food and tickets for raffle prizes will be sold, and a silent auction will also be held.

The annual school fair is one of the biggest fundraisers for the PTO, and proceeds will be used to provide enrichment programs, academic grants and school-wide reading initiatives.
