Gonzalo Gonzalez, 102Marlborough – Gonzalo Gonzalez, 102, died at home Sunday, March 18, 2012, surrounded by family. His first wife, Crencencia Feliciano, died in 1997.

He was born, raised and educated in Lares, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Juan and Juana (Quintana) Gonzalez. He was a carpenter for several construction companies in Puerto Rico.

Mr. Gonzalez was a member of the Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Church in Marlborough and was a devote Christian, praising the word of God with all he met.

He was an avid reader, fisherman, gardener, dominos player, and singer, and also loved baseball. He was an honest, outgoing, friendly charming gentleman who was loved by all he met.

He leaves a son, Hector Gonzalez of Marlborough; three daughters, Elena Gonzalez of Marlborough, Ada Gonzalez of Worcester, and Elizabeth Perez of Marlborough; two sisters, Maria Gonzalez and Santa Gonzalez, both of Ponce, Puerto Rico; 107 grandchildren, which includes 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Francisco and Juan Gonzalez and Isabel and Esther Gonzalez.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 22, at 10 a.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery on Wilson Street. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home Wednesday, March 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.
