Hudson – Paul R. Gould, 73, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy (Sableski) Gould of Hudson.
Born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Raymond J. and Margaret A. (McNeil) Gould, he was a 1956 graduate of Worcester North High School and later attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, receiving a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1960.
Mr. Gould worked as a physicist for many years and later founded the former Borough's Tire Company in Marlborough, which he owned and operated until his retirement. He had resided in Hudson since 1964.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Nanci E. Moffitt of Worcester, Michael R. Gould and his wife Catherine of Worcester, and Stephen E. Gould and his wife Hsienwie of San Carlos, Cal. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Ashley E. and Chanan A. Moffitt, Michael P., Samantha T., Thomas S., and Sydney S. Gould; his brother, John Gould of Florida; and his sister, Joan Daniels of Auburn. He was the brother of the late Anna Morrison of Leicester.
Family and friends may attend calling hours Tuesday, March 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Funeral services and burial are to be held at the convenience of the family.
