Marlborough – Students in kindergarten through grade five in the School's Out program at Kane Elementary School participated in a one-mile run/walk April 17 to commemorate the heroes and victims of last year's Boston Marathon bombings.
The after-school program is administered by the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA in Westborough. Twenty-six Ys statewide took part in the tribute on the same day and time. Afterward, state Rep. Danielle Gregoire, D-Marlborough, spoke with the children about their achievement.
