Shrewsbury – Richard A. Charpentier, 71, of Lake Street in Shrewsbury, died in his home Wednesday, May 21, 2014 after a period of declining health. He was born June 22, 1942 in Worcester to Lucien D. and Marie-Ange (Desilets) Charpentier.
He leaves four brothers, John; Roland, who was his guardian for 40 years; Francois; and David Charpentier, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Lucien, and his sister, Denise Bachand.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour Tuesday May 27, from 9-10 a.m., in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. North, Auburn, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care Richard received from the former Glavin Center, Holy Trinity Hospice, and the group home in which he resided.
