Obit Marjorie GauchWorcester – Marjorie “Margie” Gauch, 75, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. She lived her entire life to the fullest, enjoying the closeness of her family and many friends.

She was born March 12, 1939 in Worcester to the late Harold D. and Mary A. (Lombard) Bolster. She grew up in Holden, lived in Shrewsbury for 45 years, and spent her last six years in Worcester.

After graduating from Wachusett Regional High School in 1957, Margie worked for Norton Company while attending Salter Secretarial School and Clark University. Following that experience, she married and raised two children.

Over the years, Margie took classes at Becker Junior College and Assumption College and worked as an administrative assistant and home health aide. For the past 50 years, she was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Order of Eastern Star, and membership in both organizations brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Kim Testa and son-in-law Joe Testa of Rockville, Md., and her son, Scott Gauch and son-in-law Patrick Bridges of Hermosa Beach, Calif. She also leaves her dear brother, Charlie Bolster, and her sister-in-law, Sheila, of Rutland, as well as brothers Harold Bolster Jr. and George Bolster, and first cousins Carole Gariepy (and husband Gerry) and Bobby Mirick (and wife Connie). She was preceded in death by her late brother, Forrest Bolster. Additionally, she is survived by her two beloved grandchildren, Giulia and Christian Testa, as well as nine nephews and nine nieces.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Jan. 30, from 4-7 p.m., at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A funeral service in celebration of Margie’s life will take place Saturday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, 440 Main St., Shrewsbury, followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury.
