Shrewsbury – Crews are continuing to remove debris from the demolition of the former 1970s wing of the Shrewsbury Public Library. The wing will be replaced by a new building that will be part of the library’s $21 million expansion and renovation.
The library is now temporarily housed at 214 Lake St. The new library will be designed by the architectural firm of Lamoureaux & Pagano. PMA Consultants is the project manager, and Fontaine Brothers is the construction manager. The project was approved by the town’s voters in November 2013 and is anticipated to be completed by the summer of 2016.
