Grafton – Residents and visitors gathered May 9 at Grafton Common for the annual Grafton History Day. Co-sponsored by the Grafton Historical Society and the Grafton Garden Club, the five-hour event celebrates the town’s 1735 incorporation.
Festivities included fife and drum music, antique autos, farming tools, food concessions, pony rides and plant sales. Musical entertainment at the gazebo featured Tom Casey and Bill Zolli of the Boston Association of Cabaret Artists. Face painting and temporary tattoos were provided by Girl Scout Troop 30263. Children’s stories were read by Beth Gallaway, director of the Grafton Public Library, along with Beth Patch, administrative assistant.
